The original Ghostbusters is heading back to theaters

The Ghostbusters franchise has a big summer planned already, but Fathom Films just added another event for fans to mark in their calendars. Ghostbusters, the original 1984 comedy, will screen in theaters nationwide this June, in honor of its 34th anniversary.

That’s the reason that Fathom Films claims is behind the theatrical re-release, anyway. Tickets are available starting May 6 for both dates: June 8, with an encore on June 12. But it’s just as likely that Ghostbusters 1.0 is screening in anticipation of the franchise’s new movie, in theaters just…
