Klaus Zimmer, CEO of Porsche North America, admitted that the brand is “running behind schedule to get the Macan homologated for model year ’17, but we’re just about to fix that. It takes longer, but we’re following procedure.” As of now, however, a diesel-powered Macan hasn’t been offered in the US, though it’ll happen at some point. The 2017 Macans affected in this case aren’t diesels, and it doesn’t appear they’re mechanically different from the ’16 models. In other words, the Dieselgate aftermath isn’t ending anytime soon.
